BBQ! Satay-Kebap (vegan)

These satay skewers are 

just marinated oyster mushrooms. 

These tasty mushrooms 

are the ideal meat substitute. 

They are an alternative 

to seitan or  jackfruit... 

no preparation time and 

are the consistency of chicken. 

Well spiced and prepared, 

no one realizes the difference 

between chicken flesh

and these mushrooms anymore.

 

Ingredients marinade

  • a little piece of ginger
  • 2 stalks of lemongrass
  • 5 tablespoons of agave syrup
  • 1 coated TL salt
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1.5 tsp curry
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • Juice of a lime

 

preparation marinade

  1. Put all ingredients for the marinade in a high-performance blender and mix them into a cream.

Ingredients Satay skewers

  • 400g oysters mushrooms
  • 6 wooden skewers

Preparation satay kebab

  1. If necessary, clean the oyster mushrooms with a brush, not wash off!
  2. Mince the mushrooms in mouth-friendly pieces
  3. Marinate the mushrooms with the marinade
  4. skewer on a wood skewer
  5. Let the skewer rest for about 15 minutes.
  6. Grill them!

 

Ingredients peanut-sauce

  1. 200 ml coconut milk
  2. 4-6 tablespoons of peanut mustache
  3. 1 teaspoon miso paste
  4. Juice of a lime
  5. 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  6. 1 tbsp Sambal Oilsk

Preparing peanut sauce

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a pot
  2. Stir the sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
